On October 16, CNNC announced the construction of Hualong-1 in Zhangzhou Nuclear Power Plant in Fujian Province. It is the fifth Hualong-1 unit built by CNNC.

Unit 3 of Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant succeeded in connecting to the power grid in Lianyungang, Jiangsu province on Dec 30, with all technical indicators according with initial design requirements.

Unit 4 of Fuqing Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) was successfully connected to the power grid on July 29, marking completion of the first phase of CNNC’s project in Fuqing, with its four units now generating electricity.

The world’s first high-temperature gas-cooled reactor (HTGR) fuel elements production line was established by CNNC as 200,000 spherical fuel components successfully rolled off the assembly line on July 17.
