The 26th National Pishu Annual Meeting and the inaugural Think Tank Forum on the Chinese Path to Modernization were held in Beijing from 28 to 29 November. During the event, the winners of the 16th Outstanding Pishu Award were announced. The Blue Book, China Nuclear Energy Development Report (2024), which was jointly compiled by the China Nuclear Energy Association, the China Institute of Nuclear Industry Strategy, and the China Institute of Science and Technology Evaluation Center, won first prize.

Since its establishment in 2009, the Outstanding Pishu Award has become a highly authoritative and influential award in the fields of philosophy and social science in China. It is widely recognized by experts, academics, and the wider community. This year’s award focused on Pishu editions published in 2024. Following a three-stage review process, 68 works were selected from numerous submissions to receive the award, with only 15 achieving the top prize.

The China Nuclear Energy Development Report has been published annually since its first release in 2018. Each edition has received significant coverage in the mainstream media, including CCTV News, People’s Daily and Xinhuanet. Receiving this award represents higher recognition of the blue book’s quality and standards, as well as an endorsement of its research value, policy relevance, and influence within the industry.
