CNEA Activities

From 6 to 11 July, the China-Japan Nuclear Power Safety Exchange, organized by the China Nuclear Energy Association (CNEA), took place in Japan. Dan Jun, Vice Chairman of the Association and Vice President of Dongfang Electric, led the delegation. A total of 15 participants from eight organizations, including nuclear power equipment companies, design and research institutes, nuclear power operation and investment institutions, and nuclear power equipment manufacturers, took part in the event.

During the event, the Association organized meetings between Chinese representatives and Japanese organizations, including the Japan Atomic Industry Forum (JAIF) and the Japan Nuclear Safety Institute (JANSI). The Chinese participants gained insights into Japan’s nuclear power plant restarts, peer reviews and improvement efforts, and presented an overview of China’s nuclear power industry development and the activities of the Association’s Nuclear Power Branch.

The Association also arranged visits for the Chinese representatives to several key sites, including the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, the JAEA Naraha Centre for Remote Technology Development, the BENKAN-KIKOH Equipment Company and the Naka Institute for Fusion Science and Technology.
