On 20 March, the Information Technology Committee of the China Nuclear Energy Association (CNEA) convened a workshop entitled “Digital Transformation Plan of Nuclear Industry during the 15th Five-Year Plan” in Beijing. The event explored the digital transformation roadmap for the nuclear industry and key issues related to cybersecurity during the 15th Five-Year Plan.

Shan Zhiguang, Director of the Informatization and Industry Development Department of the State Information Center, delivered a thematic report. Participants had in-depth discussions on strategic planning, implementation pathways, future development directions and innovative solutions to cybersecurity challenges in the digital transformation of the nuclear industry. The workshop concluded with a list of common industry issues and an initial consensus on the forward-looking design for the 15th Five-Year Plan.
