
On 14 January, the 4th China-UK Workshop on Nuclear Energy was successfully held in Telford, UK. The event was co-hosted by the China Nuclear Energy Association (CNEA) and the UK Department for Business and Trade (DBT). Around 40 participants from nearly 20 organizations in China and the UK attended the workshop.
The workshop focused on several key areas, including waste treatment and disposal, life extension and decommissioning of nuclear power plants. It provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of the UK’s policies and plans for the decommissioning and remediation of nuclear facilities, as well as insights into advanced technologies and practical case studies. The Chinese delegation also introduced their UK counterparts to China’s work and technical advantages in these areas.
