On 14 November, the China Nuclear Engineering & Construction Corporation (CNECC) announced that a major cooperation agreement on advanced construction research was signed between CNECC and Électricité de France (EDF) during the 8th China-France Seminar on Nuclear Energy Technology and Innovation in Paris.
This agreement is a concrete step by both parties to implement the “Advanced Nuclear Power Plant Construction Agreement” and marks another substantial achievement within this framework. It means that the joint research in the field of advanced nuclear power plant construction between CNECC and EDF has reached a new stage.
The agreement is expected to further facilitate the sharing of knowledge and technical exchanges between the two companies in the field of nuclear power plant construction technology. Together, they aim to develop solutions for building nuclear power plants in a safer, more cost-effective and environmentally friendly way, and to promote the sustainable development of nuclear power plant construction technology, bringing more innovative results and practical experience to the global nuclear power industry.
