On 28 November, Ren Jingdong, Deputy Director of the National Energy Administration of China, and Alibek Zhamauov, Vice-Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, co-chaired the 13th meeting of the Energy Committee of the China-Kazakhstan Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation in Kazakhstan. During the meeting, they signed the minutes, marking a step forward in bilateral energy cooperation.
Ren Jingdong highlighted the strategic guidance provided by the leaders of both countries, which has led to new achievements in cooperation in various sectors, including oil and gas, renewable energy, and nuclear energy. He emphasized the importance of stable oil and gas pipeline supply as a basis for further cooperation, and the implementation of intergovernmental agreements to enhance practical cooperation in renewable energy. He also highlighted the focus on nuclear power cooperation as a key area to take cooperation in the field of nuclear energy to a new level.
Alibek Zhamauov expressed that Kazakhstan-China relations are entering a new “golden thirty years” and Kazakhstan is ready to actively work with China to continuously deepen cooperation in the fields of oil and gas, electricity and renewable energy.
