On 8 October, local time in Switzerland, the World Economic Forum recognized Sanmen Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. as part of its latest list of Lighthouse Factories, according to an announcement on the Forum’s official website. Sanmen Nuclear Power stood out from thousands of candidate factories worldwide, marking a first for the global nuclear power industry.

The Lighthouse Factory title is awarded to factories that exemplify best practices in the application of Industry 4.0 technologies and digital manufacturing. The designation, awarded for meeting rigorous selection criteria, signifies leadership in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It reflects the factory's advanced technology, strong innovation, high labour productivity, solid economic performance and commitment to sustainable, low-carbon operations. These factories are considered the best in the world in terms of smart manufacturing and digital technology.
