From 5 to 9 August 2024, the Nuclear Power Branch of the China Nuclear Energy Association (CNEA) conducted a member support activity focusing on the professional development of on-site duty officers at Fujian Fuqing Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. It was led by Guo Xiquan, an invited expert from the CNEA, who was previously deputy general manager and chief safety officer of the Taishan Nuclear Power Joint Venture Company. The supporting experts were from various companies, including Daya Bay Nuclear Power Operations and Management Co., Ltd., Fujian Ningde Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., Yangjiang Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., and Shandong Nuclear Power Co., Ltd.

Deputy General Manager Xu Jinlong, Plant Manager Jia Yuqiang, and about 20 personnel from the A, B and C operational divisions of Fuqing Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. participated in the support activity. The activity was conducted through expert services, which included expert lectures, discussions, and on-site observations. The event facilitated the sharing of mature experiences and best practices from CGN and State Power Investment Corporation power plants, leading to the development of action recommendations tailored to the current needs of Fuqing Nuclear Power.

Through the discussions of key issues, the team of experts, in collaboration with the power plant staff, identified 15 learning points, proposed 5 targeted action recommendations for improvement, and provided 10 reference action recommendations.
