The “Tian Shu” system, the first fully controllable time-series data processing system developed by China National Nuclear Power Co., Ltd, has started its trial operation at the Hualong One units managed by Fuqing Nuclear Power and Zhangzhou Energy. This indigenous innovation effectively addresses a key technical hurdle in the digital transformation of nuclear power industry.
Time-series data, meticulously organized in a chronological sequence, reflect a progression of data points that evolve over time and are interconnected. These datasets encapsulate the key operational metrics of nuclear power units, including parameters such as rotational speed, electrical power output, thermal conditions, and pressure levels. Prior to this development, China’s nuclear power plants relied on foreign software to manage their time-series data, facing a myriad of industry-wide challenges such as high application costs, slow updates, poor data quality, and the inability to open source. These issues not only increased operational costs, but also posed significant security risks.
