BEIJING, July 24 2024 - In an interview with Xinhua Finance, Zhang Tingke, Chairman of the Group Standardization Committee of the China Nuclear Energy Association (CNEA), announced that the Association expects to initiate more than 600 group standards for nuclear energy and publish more than 300 of them by the end of 2024.

Zhang highlighted that since the implementation of the China Nuclear Energy Association’s Measures for Group Standard Management in December 2018, the Association has been proactively building a robust group standard system in accordance with relevant legal and policy guidelines. With the successful registration on the national platform in February 2019, the Association has embarked on a mission to leverage the resource-sharing capabilities of the platform, align with the evolving demands of the nuclear energy sector, and introduce a series of voluntary standards that are agile, market-responsive and innovative. These standards are intended to enrich and extend the existing national and industry standards framework for nuclear energy in China.
