On 18 June 2024, the China Atomic Energy Authority (CAEA) held the Review Meeting of IAEA Technical Cooperation Projects for 2026-2027 in Beijing. Focusing on the high-quality development of nuclear energy and the needs and directions of nuclear technology to serve the economy and people's livelihood, the review panel carefully examined the project submissions and considered the applicants’ explanations, and based on fairness and impartiality, shortlisted a number of projects with domestic technical needs and good social and economic benefits for recommendation to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The Technical Cooperation Programme (TC Programme) is an important channel through which the IAEA provides technical assistance to Member States, particularly developing countries, to promote the peaceful uses of nuclear energy and the sustainable development of nuclear technology.
