On August 27, China General Nuclear Power Group announced that the Lufeng Unit 6 of China General Nuclear Power Group Lufeng Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. has started construction on August 26, 2023. Units 5 and 6 of Lufeng Nuclear Power Plant adopt “Hualong One” nuclear power technology, with a total investment of approximately 38.2 billion yuan, a single unit capacity of 1200 MWe, and a single unit construction period of approximately 60 months.
