On June 27, Mr. Zhang Tingke, vice chairman and secretary general of CNEA, met with Mr. Chen Bucan, Chairman of the Taiwan Nuclear Energy Science and Technology Association, and a group of 10 people. The two sides exchanged and discussed the strengthening of cross-strait nuclear energy cooperation and the design and construction of Linglong No. 1 small reactor. Mr. Zhang Tingke extended a warm welcome to Mr. Chen Bucan and his entourage. Mr. Zhang Tingke pointed out that the communication between the CNEA and the Taiwan Association for the Advancement of Nuclear Energy is an important channel for people-to-people exchanges in the cross-strait nuclear energy circles. Maintaining a good cooperative relationship between the two sides will help promote the safe development of cross-strait nuclear energy. In the future, the two sides can complement each other to expand cooperation methods and fields. Mr. Chen Bucan expressed his sincere gratitude to the CNEA for its warm reception. He briefly introduced the current situation of nuclear power development in Taiwan, expressed appreciation for the mainland's achievements in the development of nuclear energy in recent years, and hoped to extensively exchange experience with mainland counterparts to benefit the livelihood of people on both sides of the strait.
