Mr. Huang Runqiu said that mainland China currently has 77 nuclear power units in operation and under construction, ranking second in the world. Over the years, China's nuclear and radiation safety situation has been generally good, and no incidents or accidents of level 2 or above on the International Nuclear and Radiation Event Scale have occurred. China has established an effective system of policies and regulations, carried out strict and effective nuclear safety supervision, and consolidated the basic guarantee capability of nuclear safety.
