On February 2, 2023, Beijing time, Pakistan held the inauguration ceremony of Unit 3 (K-3) completion of the Karachi Nuclear Power Plant. So far,  two 1000 MWe units，Hualong No.1, the China's nuclear power major innovation achievement and independent third-generation nuclear power exported to Pakistan, were officially delivered to Pakistan after being completed and put into operation. The Karachi K-2/K-3 are the largest nuclear power units in Pakistan, and are also the first single-unit 1000 MWe power project in Pakistan. On May 20, 2021, the K-2 unit officially entered commercial operation. On April 18, 2022, the K-3 unit successfully past provisional acceptance.
