On July 21, 2022, the China Nuclear Energy Association and the Department of the International Trade of the United Kingdom jointly held a conference to release the report on the possibility study of cooperation in the decommissioning and management of nuclear facilities between China and the United Kingdom. Mr. Zhang Tingke, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the CNEA, and Mr. Matt Ashworth, Commercial Counselor of the British Embassy in China, delivered opening speeches on behalf of the two institutions. Mr. Huang Ping, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department of the National Atomic Energy Agency, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The study group leader and former deputy director of the China Atomic Energy Agency, Mr. Wang Yiren, released the research report on behalf of the study group. The British Nuclear Industry Association, Flamgard and other UK companies introduced the UK nuclear supply chain capabilities. A total of more than 130 representatives of government departments and enterprises from China and the UK attended the meeting.
