On June 28, 2022, the first concrete was poured in the nuclear island of Sanmen Nuclear Power Unit 3 of the China National Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. a subsidiary of the China National Nuclear Corporation. It marks the official start of the second phase of the Sanmen Nuclear Power Plant.
