On March 31, 2022, Mr. Zhang Jianhua, Director General of China's National Energy Administration, co-chaired the 10th China-EU Energy Dialogue with EU Energy Commissioner Mr. Simson in Beijing. Mr. Zhang Jianhua said that China and the EU, as important stable and constructive forces in the world, had extensive common interests and a solid foundation for cooperation in the energy field. In recent years, the two sides have made great efforts to promote green and low-carbon development of energy, making important contributions to the global energy transition and economic recovery. Under the new situation, China is willing to uphold the principle of mutual benefit and win-win results, strengthen communication and coordination with the European side on energy security, expand exchanges and cooperation in energy transformation, and improve the level of cooperation in technological innovation, so as to inject positive energy into the stability of the global energy market and the green development of energy. Mr. Simson said that the EU attached great importance to green development cooperation with China, and was willing to take this dialogue as an opportunity to actively expand cooperation with China in the field of energy and promote more practical results.
