On February 25, the first pot of concrete was poured into the raft base plate of the nuclear island reactor building of Tianwan Nuclear Power Unit 8, marking the start of Unit 8 construction. It is the first nuclear power unit that has started construction in China for 2022.

Tianwan Nuclear Power Unit 7 started construction on May 19, 2021. At present, this project construction is progressing well.
