On March 4, local time, the Hualong No. 1 overseas demonstration project and the fourth unit in the world, the No. 3 unit of the Karachi Nuclear Power Plant in Pakistan, was successfully connected to the grid for the first time, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent commercial operation of the unit. So far, all four units of the Hualong No. 1 demonstration project at home and abroad have been connected to the grid for power generation.
This is the continuous deepening of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Pakistan in the new era of nuclear science and technology workers, adhering to green and low-carbon development, jointly addressing climate change, helping to achieve the global goal of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality", and jointly building a nuclear energy community with a shared future for mankind specific measures. It has enhanced the confidence of countries along the “Belt and Road” in Hualong No. 1.
