3. The policy of active, safe and orderly development of nuclear power is included in the national medium and long-term development plan

On March 5, Premier Li Keqiang proposed in the government work report that nuclear power should be actively and orderly developed under the premise of ensuring safety. 5. After 30 years of safe operation of the first nuclear power unit built by China, it was approved to operate for another 20 years

On November 9, the 4.5 million-square-meter project of the second phase of the National Energy Nuclear Heating Commercial Demonstration Project "Nuanhe No. 1" of State Power Investment Group Co., Ltd. was put into operation in Haiyang, Shandong ahead of schedule. The heating area covers the entire urban area of Haiyang, benefiting 200,000 residents. The heating cost of residential buildings in Haiyang City has been reduced by RMB 1 yuan per square meter compared with previous years. 9.China General Nuclear Power Corporation Biodiversity Conservation Report grand release

On October 11, when the first phase of the 15th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (COP15) opened in Kunming, China, the first domestic biodiversity conservation report based on natural capital accounting – “China General Nuclear Power Corporation Biodiversity Conservation Report” was officially released. The report shows that the total value of natural capital of the Daya Bay Nuclear Power Base during the operation period from 1994 to 2019 was about 424.487 billion RMB yuan.
