At 16:35 on October 15 local time, the third nuclear power plant—unit 3 of Chashma NPP exported by CNNC under the Belt and Road Initiative was successfully connected to the grid.
Up to now, CNNC has built four 300 MW nuclear power units and two 1000 MW nuclear power units in Pakistan. It is also actively carrying out cooperation in such sectors as uranium resources and personnel training. Units 1 and 2, which have been fully operational, maintain safe, stable operation. Unit 4 has entered the full commissioning stage, and is expected to be connected to the grid in the first half of 2017.
