On October 28th, Beijing, CNEA (China Nuclear Energy Association) and CERS (China Energy Research Society) jointly held the high-level symposium on nuclear power development of China after Fukushima accident. The object of the symposium was to sum up and absorb experience and lessons about the Fukushima nuclear accident, so as to promote China's nuclear power development of safe and efficient.
A total of about 60 people attended this symposium including the leaders and experts of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Engineering, some companies and universities, and other relevant departments of the country.
The delegates to the conference had an free and extensive discussion about many aspects such as the lessons to be learned on Fukushima nuclear accident, the safety of Chinese nuclear power, the future development of Chinese nuclear power and so on. They also put forward some specific opinions and proposals about safe and efficient development of Chinese nuclear power.
